FAQ
You leave the Hotel Zone and eat where Cancún actually eats — downtown taquerías and street stands that locals line up at, with a guide who orders for you and explains what you're eating. It's a walking food crawl across several stops, not a restaurant dinner: different specialty at each place, usually pastor, cochinita, and whatever that stand is known for.
Enough that most people leave full — the stops add up, and pacing yourself is real advice. Vegetarian versions exist at most stops, but the classic Yucatán specialties are pork-based, so tell us when you book and the guide adjusts the route rather than improvising on the spot. Vegan and celiac needs are harder and we'll be honest with you about which stops work.
At the stands we use, yes. The route is built from places with constant local turnover, which is the real safety signal — high volume means fresh product and nothing sitting around. Your guide handles the ordering and the water question. This is a curated route, not a random walk, and that's most of what you're paying for.
