Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Cancun ATVs (operated by XPECTATIVE TRAVEL S.R.L. de C.V.), we want your booking experience to be flexible and clear. You can cancel anytime — but please read carefully how refunds work, as cancelling a booking and receiving a refund are two different things.

Cancel Anytime

You may cancel your reservation at any moment, including the same day as your activity. Cancelling is always free and always possible. However, whether a refund applies — and how much — depends on the type of tour, the activity, and the number of people in your booking, as explained below.

How Refunds Work

Refunds, when they apply, are subject to a penalty starting from 20%, calculated according to the tour, the activity, and the size of your group. Larger groups have a greater operational impact — for example, a cancellation of 8 people may mean an empty transport vehicle and lost spots that can no longer be resold, so a higher penalty (up to 50%) may apply.

1. Deposit Bookings (20%) — Shared Tours

When you reserve a shared tour with a 20% deposit, that deposit secures your spot and is non-refundable if you cancel. You may cancel at any time, but the deposit will not be returned.

2. Full Payment (100%) — Regular Shared Tours

For shared tours paid in full, refunds are subject to a penalty starting from 20%, calculated based on the tour, the activity, and the number of people. The remaining balance, after the applicable penalty, will be refunded to your original payment method.

3. Private Tours & Special Transport

Private tours, special transport, and any service booked exclusively for you (outside our shared catalog) are non-refundable. These services are reserved solely for your group and cannot be resold, so cancellations carry a 100% penalty. You may cancel, but no refund will be issued.

We know plans change, sometimes for serious reasons. If you need to cancel due to an emergency or unexpected circumstance, please contact us directly. Before any penalty is applied, we do our best to help you personally — whether that’s rescheduling to another date, switching to a different tour, offering a credit, or arranging alternative transport. Our goal is to help you not lose your money whenever we reasonably can.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method through Stripe. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take several business days for the refund to appear.

Activity Requirements

Some activities have specific age, health, or physical requirements, stated on each tour. If you cannot participate due to not meeting a clearly stated requirement, standard cancellation terms above apply. Please review each tour’s requirements before booking.
