Choose a reputable operator
The most important step. Look for a strong track record of positive reviews and a professional presence. A reputable company is transparent about safety, uses maintained equipment and employs certified guides. Don’t be tempted by suspiciously cheap offers — your safety is worth it. Listen to your guides (they’re the experts)
Your guides are trained professionals whose job is to keep you safe while you have an amazing time. Pay attention during the briefing and follow their lead — they know the trails, equipment and environment cold.
Understand the camera policy (it’s for your safety)
Most reputable tours ban handheld phones during ATV riding and ziplining — an international safety standard so your hands are free to steer, brake and hold on. Many, including ours, allow action cameras (GoPro) only if helmet-mounted. Professional photographers are usually on-site so you don’t miss the shot.
Dress for the part

Know your limits and be honest
Adventure tourism is for everyone, but be honest about your condition. Back problems, heart issues or pregnancy? Consult the operator before booking — a professional company puts your well-being over a sale. Not comfortable with the highest zipline? It’s okay to sit it out.
Stay sober for the adventure
Simple: alcohol and adventure don’t mix. For everyone’s safety you can’t participate under the influence. Save the celebratory drinks for the jungle bar afterward.
Secure your valuables
Reputable operators provide lockers — use them. Bring only what you need: some cash, a towel, a change of clothes. Leave expensive jewelry and electronics safe at the hotel.
